Marblehead Pottery was established in 1904 by Herbert Hall, MD, as a therapeutic studio for women with nervous disorders in the Marblehead Massachusetts sanitarium. Arthur E. Baggs, an American chemist and potter, further developed the program, and it evolved into a for-profit company that specialized in Art Pottery until it stopped production in 1936. This bowl is in beautiful condition and measures 4 inches tall by 7.5 inches in diameter. The flower frog is a speckled dark blue with five holes and measures 2.5 inches in diameter.
